My Approach

I work collaboratively with my clients with a Person-Centered, positive approach within a Cognitive Behavioral Framework. This means that we work with each other and establish trust, a commitment to therapy, and I provide a safe space for you to feel understood before we delve into evidence-based techniques to help you, your family, and/or your relationships reach your goals and improve your emotional wellbeing. I believe in an integrated approach to wellness, so whilst we will explore your mood and emotional health, we will also examine your lifestyle, diet, social support network, etc. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and improve their well-being, and I look forward to helping you along your journey.

My Approach

Areas of Expertise

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is an evidenced based approach to mitigate depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders by examining our thoughts, cognitions, actions, perceptions, and feelings. The idea is to gain more insight and identify maladaptive patterns of thinking or habitual behaviors, and replace them with healthier perspectives, thoughts, actions, and behaviors.

Nutritional Psychotherapy

Research disseminating from Nutritional psychiatry is showing us that food and lifestyle are powerful interventions to drastically improve mental health. Poor diets have been linked to exacerbating mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. Learn how to utilize food & exercise as a tool to improve gut health, mental, and physical well-being.

Licensed Mental Health Therapist, 200RYT, Yoga psychotherapy, Nutritional psychotherapy, Neuroplasticy for Anxiety Practitioner Level 1, Gottman Method

I received my Ed.M & M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University and am licensed in NY. Additionally, I've trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and am yoga certified. I saw early on in my work that the body and mind work together in therapy and became certified in Life Force therapy, or yoga psychotherapy. I took my training further and studied Nutritional Coaching from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. I find when you bring these three elements together, it becomes a powerful holistic approach to ease depression, anxiety, and other life circumstances. My unique expertise has led me to contribute to various publications such as Vogue, Teen Vogue, Self, Body & Soul Magazine, etc. Recently I've trained in Gottman's Method for Couples Counseling and am currently taking an in depth Nutritional Psychiatry Course.
